When most people think of beautiful women in the music industry, such names as Beyonce, Shakira, and Jessica Simpson often come to mind.  While I doubt there’s anyone out there that disagrees with the fact that these ladies are insanely hot, there are a few women in the music industry who are often over looked in the hotness department.  This may be attributed to the fact that these ladies don’t quite have the album sales in the United States as those last three I mentioned.  None the less, I’m writing this post to point out that there are a few women in music who are hot in their own ways (I think there’s different classifications of hotness), but are often overlooked by the media.  Read on to find out who these hotties are:

"I’ll Kick Your Ass" Hot:  Noelle Leblanc of Damone

I saw Noelle and her band Damone open for Finnish goth group The 69 Eyes almost two years ago.  They were added at the last minute as a replacement for another band that dropped off the tour.  My first thought when they took the stage was, "wow, that singer is pretty cute".  However, when they started playing, she quickly went from cute to hot.  If I could describe their music, it’d be a mix between hard rock mixed with some pop hooks and influences.  If you’re a hot chick decked out in leather and singing songs filled with subtle "fuck you" undertones, there’s a good chance you’re going to make a list like this.

"Weirdo" Hot:  Lovefoxxx of Cansei de Ser Sexy

Here we have a girl of Japanese and German descent as the lead singer of the Brazilian band, CSS.  Cansei de Ser Sexy is Portuguese for "tired of being sexy" which ironically is taken from a Beyonce quote.  The band’s sound is cross between indy rock and electro-funk with super charged sex lyrics.  Such lyrics as "lick lick lick my art tit" and "music is my hot hot sex" (taken from the song of the same name which became quite popular as it was featured fairly recently on Apple’s iPod Touch commercial) are sure to raise some eyebrows.  Also known for her strange taste in fashion and a video for the song "Alala" where her and her band mates are getting the shit kicked out of them, she makes several contributions to the "weirdo" department.  None the less, all of these factors cannot deter from the fact that they make Lovefoxxx hot in her own unique way.

"Mysterious Euro" Hot:  Tarja Turunen Formerly of Nightwish

Ah, Tarja Turunen, this woman has the voice of an angel.  This former lead singer of the "symphonic power metal" band Nightwish has one of the most powerful female voices I’ve ever heard in any rock band.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with Nightwish, think of a modern day Euro metal sound with almost operatic female vocals.  Of course, they do have a male background singer, and hearing the two side by side really exhibits her vocal power.  Also, for the record she could sing circles around Amy Lee.  In the looks department, her eyes are as haunting as her voice, and her long black hair gives off the spooky Euro metal vibe . Not to mention the Finnish accent is always a plus. Sadly, Nightwish kicked her out of the band in 2005 and replaced her with another female singer (who happens to still be very beautiful, but not nearly as talented). 

"Too Hot For Words" Hot:  Alizée Jacotey

Now, there’s chicks that are hot, and then there’s Alizee.  This French bombshell has been churning out hits in her home country and other European nations on and off since 2000.  Her music is standard Euro pop fare, however her deep voice is reminiscent of a French Karen Carpenter.  She has basically every tool that’s needed to be hot music star: a beautiful face, an amazing smile, a terrific voice, and an ass that will have most dudes picking their jaws off the floor.  The video of her live performance of her single "J’en Ai Marre" has pretty much become an internet sensation and rightfully so.  If she ever made a real attempt to conquer American charts, she probably could at some point as well.
