Recently, a video has popped up on the internet showing a Baltimore cop assaulting, harassing, and belittling a 14 year boy for riding a skateboard and calling him "dude".  Upon watching this video, I was sickened by the officer’s actions, and perhaps even more sickened by the fact that this fiasco got him suspended WITH pay.  A slap on the wrist for slapping around a minor sounds really fair, let me tell ya.  Anyway, this isn’t the first time skateboarders have been harassed by police officers while on video.  Luckily with the invention of Youtube we can see authority figures with anger issues push around young kids riding pieces of wood to their very hearts content!

I should preface this by saying that I’m not a skateboarder of any kind.  I’ve never tried to skateboard, nor do I want to, and I don’t associate myself with that culture.  Remember you were a kid and you took your bike everywhere with your buddies?   I don’t really recall cops kicking your ass for doing that.  I guess it’s just a different day and age, but I digress.  Let me present to you my "favorite" displays of cops (or security guards/rent-a-cops) punking out kids for skateboarding with actual retarded Youtube comments!

I guess it would only make sense to start this post with the very video I just talked about.  Here we see a few kids with skateboards in Baltimore being approached by a police officer telling them not to skate.  Obviously the kids are confused, and Officer Farva Rivieri decides to escalate the situation by saying he will "smack you upside your head" to a 14 year old boy who doesn’t know whats going on.  A few seconds later, Officer Rivieri decided to choke the kid and throw him to the ground for calling him "dude", a word thats been in the dictionary since 1883.  Throw in another physical push for the kid saying "dude" again, and some more verbal abuse, and you have yourselves a perfect example of a mentally unstable member of the Baltimore police force taking advantage of young kids for doing something he doesn’t like.  Yay!

Then I would have urinated on him and given his skateboard to a real human being. That little dude did have a purdy mouth."

Next up we have a video thats a little more "light-hearted" due to the fact of the sheer stupidity that’s caught on film.  Here we have a young kid who’s in the middle of a grind, and all of a sudden a female police officer pushes him off his skateboard (mid-grind mind you) into a bush.  Immediately after she remarks, "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING" after she just assaulted someone out of the blue.  Both the cameraman and the skater are stunned at this awesome displaying of "serving and protecting".  Later we see some bruises on the back of the kid who was pushed by the officer.  Just another day at the office for this upholder of the law!

Here’s another good one that I’ve actually haven’t seen up until this post.  A group of kids are skating in a parking lot, when they’re approached by some guy.  The guy proceeds to pick up a board they were skating on and hits a 13 year old boy with it (keep in mind this was all caught on tape).  So when the police are called you’d think that there would be charges place on the guy for assaulting a minor right?  This is not the case however, as the officer gives the group a nice lecture and lets them go (or so it seems).  As they’re walking away, he asks the 13 year old (the same one that got hit with the board before) "What’s your problem punk!?!" and grabs him by the arm and cuffs him.  Despite the cries of "this really hurts officer", he’s thrown in the back of the car anyway.  So overall, the kid gets hit by a board by some prick, then gets singled out and cuffed in front of his friends.  Lets here it for JUSTICE!

This next video is the king of all Cop Versus Skaters videos, and to be honest it’s downright scary.  The video begins with a cop choking out a 13 year old on the ground (13 seems to be the unlucky number here) and the person that took the photo runs from the police, which may actually have been in his best interest in this situation.  The disgruntled officer comes back to the rest of the group who stayed put and cuffs one of the kids.  A young girl from the group speaks out about the situation, to which the cop replies "YOU’RE UNDER ARREST TOO!" and chokes her out.  While another boy speaks up about his heinous actions, he too gets choked out and cuffed.  Luckily the girl got away from these psychos, however the camera man was eventually cuffed as well.  Did I mention that he threatens to pepper spray one of the kids as he’s laying on the ground?  What’s really scary about this video is that the officers were cleared of all charges.  FREEDOM FOR THE WIN!

So remember kids, next time you want to a kickflip outside of your backyard, be sure to bring along a camera crew and a lawyer.
