So Where’s the Beer?

One of my main goals when starting this blog was to give some detailed reviews of some good brew that I like to drink, but where exactly are these reviews?  Don’t fret my booze loving buddies, the beer reviews are on their way.  Believe me, I have plenty of beer in my fridge as we speak ready to be drank and reviewed.  The only problem is, my digital camera shit the bed and I ordered a brand new 10 mega pixel camera that should arrive any day now.  Hell, at one point I was even contemplating taken pictures of the beer with my camera phone.  Alas, I would never stoop so low for my blog, so expect some fully detailed beer photos and reviews coming soon.  In the mean time, here’s just a picture of some of the beer I like that was taken a few months ago when my camera wasn’t busted:

Black Dahlia Murder Interpretation Video

If you can’t tell already, I’m a big fan of "interpretation" videos.  Basically, the creator of the video gets a song and interprets the lyrics of  how the song sounds and creates subtitles for it.  They often take misheard lyrics and make a mockery of them which I find to be hilarious.  This particular video is one of the best interpretation videos as it was made with MS Paint (!) and its much more clever than most.  This was passed around tons of times at my last job and of course I had to put it on my phone.  Perhaps I’ll make a nice little tutorial on how to do that later on.  Anyway, check it out:

Doom Asylum Review

Ah, the 80’s, a decade when horror flicks were at their peek.  Well, if you consider a cinematic peek to be slasher movies getting churned out every weekend capitalizing on young movie goers and making a bloody mockery of various holidays (April’s Fools Day, Happy Birthday To Me, New Year’s Evil, etc.)  I sure as hell know I do.  Call these flicks "cheesy", "campy", or just plain "retarded", I can’t help but to call them fun.  This next review is of a movie that came out in 1987, when people were starting to get a bit sick of the slasher craze entitled Doom Asylum.

Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key Review

Here’s a review of a movie that has quite possibly one of the most ridiculously long names ever, Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key.  This film is under the horror sub-genre known as the "giallo".  Giallo is translated as "yellow" in Italian, coming from a group of  "whodunit" crime fiction books published in the 1920’s and 1930’s, known for their yellow covers.  However, in the 1960’s and 1970’s, the giallo sub-genre of film appeared, and brought with it highly stylized Italian "whodunit" films of their own.  These films combined amazing cinematography, mysterious killers with mysterious motives, and Euro sexiness cranked up to 10.  This is quite easily my favorite sub-genre of horror, and the following film is a great example of a top tier giallo:

Crazy Indian Video

I’ll be honest, this video has brought about alot of laughs.  Its basically an Indian music video, but its sub titles are in English.  However, the subs are based on what the song sounds like in English, not what it actually is.  This video was so great that I had to put it on my phone.

Hatchet Review

Ah yes, my very first "official" post and very first movie review.  Well, I shouldn’t say first, I’ve done alot of mini-reviews as posts on message boards, but this is my first time as an actual "reviewer".  I should start off by saying that I like to keep things simple when I review.  Plot overview, DVD review, and my final thoughts should do the trick.  I can’t wait to look back on this months from now just to see if I’ve improved at all.  Anyway, here we go:
